Inspiration

Why are we always so critical of ourselves?  I love most of the pictures I take of the kids, but when I'm looking for pictures to post, and I come across ones with me in them, I immediately start seeing all the flaws.  Recently, I read a post on a friends blog that inspired me to not be so critical.  Because, when I'm just looking at these pictures, I hear my girls' giggles, feel their snuggles, and remember the fun, so what if the hair's not perfect!

"Ta-Da!"

I've never posted anything about potty-training on this blog because I have this crazy dream that one day, when my girls are hormonal teenagers who can't stand me, they'll come across this blog, read it and say, "Wow, even though my mom is super-embarassing, and doesn't get me at all, she must REALLY love me!" (wow, run-on sentence, sorry Auntie Rachel!).

But, the other day, Alex did her business on the potty:
Daddy:  Alex, did you go on the potty?
Alex:  Ta-da!

Mother's Day 2012

Mother's Day was a lovely relaxing day.
The girls came in with Caitlyn singing "Happy Mother's Day to You" and Alex singing "Happy to you, to you, to you, moooom!"
Last week Caitlyn had a mother's day tea at her preschool.  She made me bath salts:
I love you, my sweet little girls.  Thank you for making me a mommy!

Caitlyn's Soccer Career

Caitlyn started soccer a couple of weeks ago.  On her first shift, she scored two goals!

Soccer Coach:  Caitlyn, have you had a turn to play yet?
Caitlyn:  Oh yes, I was the one in the black shirt!
