Daddy:  Repeat after me Lex!  (Daddy starts to sing) "I can see clearly now..."
Alex:  "I see clearly now!"
Daddy:  "...the rain is gone!"
Alex: (In a tune nothing like daddy sang) "The rain is gone!"
Daddy:  "I can see all obstacles in my way!"
Alex:  "I see the popsicles in my way!!"
Daddy:  That works.

In's and Out's of language

Caitlyn (pointing to the Out Door):  Look, that sign says "IN"!

Daddy:  No, look at it again, do you see the letter "N" in it?

Caitlyn:  No.

Daddy:  Well, then how can that word make an "ENNNN" sound with no letter "N" in it?

Caitlyn:  Magic!

Best Restaurant Ever!

Caitlyn:  Welcome to my restaurant.  Here is the menu, you can see we have pizza, and sandwiches, and on the front is the drinks and on the back is the desserts.
Mama:  Thank you.
Caitlyn:  So, can I get you something to drink?
Mama:  I'll just have a glass of water please.
Caitlyn:  Well, for that you need cold water and we don't have any, so can you have something else?
Mama:  Can I have some orange juice please?
Caitlyn:  We don't have any, but I"ll check if the chef will make some for you
...
Caitlyn:  Here you go, the chef made you orange juice.  Have you decided what you like to eat?
Mama:  Do you have any pasta?

Caitlyn:  Well, we don't have any that we can make, but we have some leftovers, but we don't have a microwave to heat it up, so....
Mama:  Okay, then can I have pizza with ham and pineapple?
Caitlyn:  Nope, the only pizza we have is olive....but it has cheese on it!

Caitlyn:  We should get a pet bunny.  Dad said no!

Alex

Mama:  I'm going to put on comfy pants for movie nigght.
Alex:  I already have my pyjamas on!
Mama:  Are you comfy?
Alex:  I am comfy....no wait, I'm Alex!

What's for dinner?

Alex:  What are we eating?
Papa:  Fish, you know like the fishies that swim in the water?
Caitlyn:  Except it's dead, dead fish.
Alex:  Dead Fish!!!

This year, I am thankful for a lot of things.
I'm thankful for smiling, happy, healthy girls.

I'm thankful for a husband who loves me, supports me and does an awesome job staying home with my little ladies.

 I'm thankful for an extended family that loves our kids and is incredibly supportive of how we're living our lives.
