Papa:  We should go to Home Depot today.
Caitlyn:  Oh, what are we going to get?

Papa:  Tires?  Why do we need tires?
Caitlyn:  For the car, because the ones on there are broken.

Coffee, Anyone?

This morning:
Mama:  Do you remember what we're doing today?
Caitlyn:  Yes, we're going to gymnastics.  Will there be one teacher there or two teachers?  Will there be other kids?  Will you help me do things?  Who will help me?  Will I go on the bars?  Will I jump really high?  What will I learn?
Mama:  I need a coffee.

I Wish

One of Alex's big dreams in life is to be a morning person.  Every morning, she wakes up around 7:00, like the rest of us, but then 15 or 20 minutes later, she realizes that she's not really a morning person and would much rather go back to bed.  So, she takes a mulligan, goes back to bed for at least an hour and then wakes up to really start her day!

Papa:  Why don't you go outside and catch something, like a rabbit?
Caitlyn:  But I can't get my jacket up!

Camping

Caitlyn:  When the snow melts, we should go camping.  We need to pack poles, marshmallows, sticks and fire!

Too Loud

Caitlyn does something which causes Mama to glare.
Caitlyn:  Mama, your eyes are being too loud at me!

Could it really be spring??

Today, we finally got some sunshine, so we decided to go to the park.  Of course, we forgot our camera!  Anyway, it was slushy, sloppy and wet, but Alex got to go in a swing for the first time and she loved it.  She giggled and smiled the whole time.

Caitlyn made friends with a girl and they followed each other around.  When we were leaving, Steffan asked her what her friends name was.  She said, "Buffuff".  We have no idea what she meant.

Planet Earth
Caitlyn:  It will be amazing, but a little bit scary.  You gotsta sit on the couch and cuddle.  We gotsta be very quiet!

We recently got Planet Earth for educational, family friendly entertainment.

Coming Home

Every evening when I walk in the door from work, as soon as Alex here's my voice, she gets a big grin on her face and starts flapping her arms & legs.  Then, if I want to do something crazy like take of my shoes or my jacket, she gets gradually more upset with me.  After that long 45 seconds, when I finally go pick her up, she nurses for about ten minutes and then she leans back and just grins at me for a minute or two.  It's a fabulous welcome home!

Big Milestone!

They say that 10% of babies skip crawling and go straight to walking.  It looks like ours is one of them!
