"Mama, why is the butter leaking?"

Where did that come from?

Mama:  Caitlyn, please go put your pyjamas on the shelf in your closet.
Caitlyn:  Ok mom, I’ll see what I can do.

Last Time

In the shower
Mama:  Did you wash your armpits?
Caitlyn:  No, but I don't have to.
Mama:  Why not?
Caitlyn:  I washed them last time!

Awwww...

While snuggling
Caitlyn:  Mama, I can hear your heart talking to me.

Oh, the Drama!

Caitlyn bites her finger while eating.
Caitlyn:  Oh dear, I guess I will never eat with that hand again!

On The Right Track

Caitlyn:  Look mom, I'm on the right track!  I'm on the track #45!

Space Cowboy

Daddy was putting Caitlyn to bed when she looked up at him with sad eyes.
Caitlyn:  Daddy, I really want to live in outer space.  Then we can see Jupiner and the Moon.
Daddy:  Well, maybe you can be an astronaut when you grow up! Then you can visit all sorts of planets!  Do you want to be an astronaut when you grow up?
Caitlyn looks at Daddy, with even sadder eyes and a pouty lip...
Caitlyn:  No, I want to be a cowboy.

Museums

The other day we drove past the Aerospace Museum.
Mama:  Caitlyn, look at all the airplanes!
Caitlyn:  Is that the airplane station?
Mama:  No, it's the airplane museum.
Caitlyn:  Are there airplane bones in there?

Knock knock...

Caitlyn:  Knock, knock
Mama: Who's there?
Caitlyn:  It's Caitlyn silly!

Crafty?

I started what I hope will become a new tradition this year.  Caitlyn and I made Christmas ornaments!  My goal is to make a different ornament every year.  Then, when the girls move out, they'll each have a batch of ornaments to start with!

Friday Family Movie Night

We've recently started a new family tradition.  Fridays after dinner, we all put on our pyjamas, curl up on the couch and start a family movie:

 Then, at 7:00 (standard bedtime), Alex heads to bed, and we make popcorn for the second act!

It's a lovely, cozy way to start the weekend.

Mama:  They can.
